SAVE THE DATE for C4YW 2013!

Friday, February 22 - Sunday, February 24, 2013
Hyatt Regency Bellevue (on Seattle’s Eastside)
Bellevue, Washington

C4YW (The Conference for Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer) was created by Living Beyond Breast Cancer and Young Survival Coalition to address the unique physical and psychosocial needs of women diagnosed with breast cancer under the age of 45.  These needs are proven to be very different than those of older, post-menopausal women, as is the impact of a diagnosis on a younger woman's family and friends. With the bulk of medical and psychological resources designed for women over 50, a younger woman may not know where to turn. More aggressive cancers, fertility, relationship issues, treatment-induced early menopause, living decades with this serious diagnosis — these are just a few ways a younger woman's breast cancer experience can seem overwhelming.

C4YW provides an environment of camaraderie while delivering one-of-a-kind educational sessions of current and relevant information in easy-to-understand language. Attendees have the opportunity to:

• Interact with experts in research, support and care
• Hear the latest breakthroughs from leading healthcare experts
• Empower themselves with knowledge to make informed, personal decisions that are best them
• Visit the C4YW Exhibit Hall featuring a variety of products and resources specifically designed for their needs

Top 10 Reasons to Attend C4YW:

10. The nice ladies at your local support group keep inviting you to join them for an early-bird dinner at Luby’s and a screening of their favorite episodes of Murder,She Wrote.

9. A bad hair day is nothing! You’ve had a bad hair year. The only time you feel “hot” these days is due to hormone-related hot flashes. So come to C4YW and learn some ways of “bringing sexy back.”

Lisa's tip for last minute holiday shopping!

Request a Special Holiday Gift!

Finished with your holiday shopping yet? Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, or all three, everyone has a different gift-buying strategy. My mom starts asking for her grandchildren’s wish lists in September or October, way before I’m thinking about decking halls or lighting candles. On the other end of the spectrum, the clock is ticking, but my wonderful spouse has yet to hit the mall.
